As far as I know, there was no source for the theatrical release of AOTC outside of the theatrical release itself*, hence bootleg copies continuing to be important. Unfortunately, I've yet to see a decent bootleg of that film turn up anywhere. TPM had a very rare Thai-subtitled bootleg turn up some time after its release in theaters that was an actual telecine from a 35mm print (it even had a splice point with some missing frames where the film had broken). I tried hard to find something similar for AOTC, but no luck. Doesn't mean it's not out there somewhere anyway.
