Thank you. I totally agree this is a very good change. The change to the wampa is still my favorite Special Edition change. Changes like Haydens head or Greedo shooting first are one thing I can understand. I too can't phathom why anyone would want to watch emty cities, hidden monsters, fuzzy lightsabers, matt lines, dewbacks that don't move, blobs under land speeder, or an old women Emperor with chimpanzze (not monkey) eyes.

"Emty" Cities - Because I liked the mood that was better evoked by the original Mos Eisley. Made it feel like a town out of A Fistful of Dollars or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (as Star Wars was originally made as a western)

Hidden Monsters - A lot more suspenseful. Ever heard the saying "a little goes a long way?" By showing us everything head on, it ruins quite a bit of mood, especially for this particular scene.

Fuzzy Lightsabers - I like the new sabers.

"Matt" lines - I like their removal

Dewbacks that don't move - I don't mind the dewbacks so much.

Blobs under the landspeeder - Eh, the new one is OK.

Old Woman Emperor - Still looks a lot better than the new one IMO.

But mostly, we purists want the original because that was what was there in 1977. I can take some of the new changes, and enjoy them, but give me the originals any day. After all, no one in the seventies was talking about the dewbacks and lack of a monster, now where they?
