Society!

If it goes on, it means the death of millions of people, everyone watching, don't you understand that? Well ... well say it's a bomb then, say whatever you want, just get it off the air! Please, you jus ... No, no I can't prove it, you gotta believe me! Believe me! Take it off the air now, please! You've got to, it ... The third channel, it's still on. Please, take off the third channel. The third channel, it's still running. Stop it, please, for God's sake, please stop it. There's no more time! Please stop it. Stop it now. Turn it off! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! STOP IT!

Today was the last day, until January of 2101, for a same number date!

My father told me he was in the car listening to the radio when suddenly, the disk jockey interrupted the song saying "pause that record... wait for it... it is now 12:12, 12/12/12 !" then the program reprised normally.

Why would we use a flammable chemical as engine coolant? For the environment! Sounds like a dreadful way to die.

So, I click on the link and the first thing I see is a guy in a chemical suit with a disembodied pig's head on a contraption behind him... figured that would be explained in the article, but nope.

Sigh, if only help for mentally ill people was cheap and there wasn't such a stigma for it in society.

Author

If anyone you are referring to qualifies for Medicaid, there is actually quite a lot of help out there for the mentally ill.  I admit that the system isn't great, but one can get help, even if he/she can't afford it.  Actually, most people who do need help can't afford it, so most are reliant on Medicaid.  Look into that for whoever you're referring to.  As for stigma, I won't argue with that at all.  But many people function well with a mental illness and the subsequent help.  Those agencies that provide assistance are bound by law to protect such private information, and the whole world need not know that our person in question has a mental illness.  It can also be an opportunity to educate and show people that mental illness is a real affliction, just like diabetes, and that we shouldn't judge someone because they have an illness.

This has been a bad several days for me.    Several days ago I get news that a cousin of my father had passed away(we will call cousin A).   Although my father and his two cousins were close when they were kids and adults years ago, in recent years they haven't seen much of each other(will call the other cousin, cousin B).    My mom and Dad tried to get in contact with the cousin B to let her know about the passing away of cousin A.  They were unable to get in touch with her.  Then this mass shooting happens.   At the cemetery where cousin A was laid to rest, there is a large area where multiple family member of mine are buried, including my Grandmother and my Great-grandmother, and my parents are probably going to be buried there when the time comes.   Cousin's B husband is also buried there.   While we were there for the funeral, we noticed some signs of  a somewhat recent burial next to Cousin B's husband, exactly where you'd expect Cousin B to be buried.   A relative of ours contacted the people that run the cemetery,  its turns out that Cousin B died about year ago.   Cousin's B's sons didn't even let us know.   My father would have wanted to be there for the funeral, and Cousin B would have wanted him there.   He should not have had to find out that Cousin B was dead by noticing a fresh looking grave.  In addition, the sons have yet to put a grave marker on the grave.

Found out 2 relatives of ours died, and had to watch coverage of nutcase murdering 20 kids about the age of my niece, just a week before Christmas.  This has not been fun.

Well, as a temporary break from all the terrible things going on right now. I'll make this post.

This morning I had some turkey, mashed potatoes, and a few other things for breakfast. My friend said it looked like I was making art the way I arranged it on my plate. So much so she was unsure if I was going to eat it. Well unfortunately unlike the several thousands of other people that photo their food I just didn't have the presence of mind to do so. I was hungry and I was just going to eat it. I don't know, I just threw it on a plate to eat... Anyways it was some good food and it satisfied my hunger.

Anyways since I lacked the proper foresight to take a picture of my food here's a random food pic from the internet as compensation.

Well as if all that wasn't enough, my dog got sick last night.  Real sick.   She couldn't move.   She is very old and we thought she was going to die last night.   She is doing a little better now.  We figure she had some sort of stroke last night.   Due to her age, and the fact that there is probably nothing the vets can do, and the fact that she is improving little, we aren't going to do anything other that try to keep her comfortable.     Don't know how much longer she has, but it probably won't be long.   : (

Please believe me when I say that I am very sorry you have to deal with this.  I am a pet lover (I have 2 dogs and a cat living with me at this time) and have had to deal with the worsening health conditions and loss of my beloved animals in the past.  My prayers are that you find strength at this time and peace with this situation in the future.
