Hi guys,
I am a big fan of ADigitalMan's Guide to MPEG2/AC3 Editing, and I've used it many times to edit movies but there is one thing I just can't edit.
For some reason when I try to combine parts from two different Star Wars (A New Hope) edits the end result always gets screwed up.
I am attempting to blend Adywan's Star Wars Revisited with Harmy's Star Wars Despecialized into a version that I like. I have done similar things with Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi edits and it's worked fine. For some reason these two just won't mesh.
I break down both films into their respective video and audio files (.m2v and .ac3) plug everything I want into Womble. The problem happens when I export the finished product into an .mpg file on Womble. When I check the .mpg file, the audio is usually way of out sync. I thought this might have something to do with the GOP time code, but I've run it on all the files and no errors were ever detected.
I'd be happy to give any additional information. Any idea why this audio drifting happens?
Thanks!
