I don't know, it just seems like an excuse to get girls in bikinis, hitting a ball around on a beach. I just can't take it seriously.

Were the original Olympics sports? What one wears does not determine if one is participating in a sport. And everyone who plays beach volleyball at a high level (including the men, and yes there are men too) is a fantastic athlete. Every try running in sand?
