I agree... new planets, new characters in the ST... the only recurring characters would be the OT cast, I see little reason to include Obi-Wan... although my ideal ST wouldn't focus on Luke anymore....and planet-wise it makes sense for Corasaunt to return, but the others I don't see much value in... (although I'm sure Tatooine might be shoehorned in there some how)

Reserve PT characters and planets for spinoff movies.... (Clone Wars between II and III, Jedi Purge between III and IV) This can leave a door open for the actors like Sam Jackson and Ewan to stay associated, and maybe "right some wrongs" with additional spin off movies.... (a clone wars movie with Hayden and Ewan expanding on the relationship and making me care more would be ideal)

Disney is planning on cranking out a movie every 2 years or so right? well those movies don't necessarily need to be an Episode every time.... right? doing each episode 2 years apart seems a bit rapid.... fill in with the gaps with these spinoff movies.
