@monks19: The first attempt was not with this footage, but was just black and white (to test contrast and brightness) and the results were not that great. I used an Epson V750 scanner, set at the highest DPI, and it just wasn't that high of resolution. I think it is because the scanner glass was in the way, but I couldn't think of a way to eliminate that...

@SS4DarthPayne: That's the idea. This is one of my favorite movies, so my plan is to preserve it at the highest possible resolution so that everyone can enjoy it. :)
