I'm not so sure I miss the French bloke...

I have to say that I really like coming here.  Here I associate with people of various races, faiths, nationalities, political affiliations, and sexual orientations (and even one or two females!).  While I may disagree with some of you sometimes, there have been very few here I do not like or cannot get along with.  I think a certain three consecutive letters and a certain unreduced fraction are the only two who have truly earned my ire.

I don't miss twoquarters, he's still active, just wearing a new hood, probably.

You really think it is he?  A part of me is excited because I've almost missed the little jerk.  But this new hood actually predates his old account.  This "new account" would actually have to be his original.

I didn't know who you were talking about at first, but after finding the suspected posts, it really does sound a lot like him.  If it is, I hope we get a few good laughs and then he ends up banned once again.  Only time will tell!

If you were an argumentative troll who is probably always in danger of being banned, wouldn't you make more than one account too?  And be more calm with the older one to avoid suspicion?

I take a certain amusement in acting misanthropic. Though it's mostly (entirely) a defense mechanism. Also, I can get overwhelmed by too much socializing. Sadly, I think I've become increasingly wary of the sense of joy that can be inspired by humanity. I don't trust it as I once did :/

I'm sure a lot of it has to do with contentment in one's own life. Ideally, I want to be more engaged with people. At least in the abstract I like people.

Yes, I'm a psych major.  I thought every OT.com member that stalks me (pretty much everyone) would have picked that up by now.  In all seriousness, I'm sorry you don't derive enjoyment from people.  People can really be rotten, horrible little creatures.  But they really can be wonderful, well-intentioned, beautiful creatures as well.  In spite of humanity's shortcomings, on the whole most people are good (or try to be--aside from those who take advantage of impressionable young ladies, then brush them off the next day ;)

I'm sort of a major psychic so we could be on the same shelf if with were alphabetically ordered but miles apart Dewey decimally speaking.
