I'm a long time reader of this forum but I rarely post. A couple of years ago a Hong Kong based company was offering the 1997 Star Wars Special Edition Trilogy in DVD9 format. From what I understand this version of the SE Trilogy was the best available on DVD. I believe it may have been called the "5 Star Edition" but I'm not certain.
Now I have DVDr versions of the SE Trilogy but I would like acquire the DVD9 versions if they are still available. I'm a bug for original packaging and such. I'm also a bit of a film history buff, especially when it comes to Star Wars. I would like to preserve every step of George's mania by owning every version of the trilogy available.
As we all know, the SE Trilogy stands between the Original Trilogy and the bastardized 2004 DVD box set. Its sort of an oddity now. So finding this DVD set is very important to me.
Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance from one hardcore Star Wars fan to another.
All the best to you and yours.
Thanks for Reading.
