I can see waiting to release the blu-ray until all menus and extras and so on can be included if you want to realease only 1 version on blu-ray. But will there be a full size 720p mkv near 25 gig in size (single-layer blu-ray disk size) released? This way, high bit rates can used in the video to preserve as much of the quality from the master file as possible, and then that maximum quality mkv file can be burned to a 25gig blu-ray disk that will play on any set top blu-ray player hooked up to an hdtv.

Also, I think hairy hen is close to releasing his new 70mm soundtrack restoration version in lossless. :)
