Back when the unaltered Movies were shown, I wasn't born yet. However, I still grew up with the originals on VHS-Tapes. (It's not that I hate the special editions, but there are still many changes which I disagree with.) My brothers used to watch the unaltered Star Wars movies with me many times and they used to play X-Wing and TIE Fighter with me. (I still play them nowadays) We love Star Wars.

Since the originals are part of my childhood, too and since I disagree with many of the changes and the refusal to officially restore and release the originals, I strongly support this project.

I don't have much experience with movie preservation yet (except digitizing VHS-Tapes on PCs) but I'm willing to learn new things.

And since there are Star Wars fans in many different countries and even ones who are hard of hearing or deaf, it would be nice to have different language audiotracks and subtitles. So I'm willing to contribute the german audiotrack and the subtitles from my GOUT-DVD once it is decided to include them in this project, too. (I've done some research on how to extract subtitles and audiotracks from DVDs)
