I only just now noticed that in georgec's sig, he has the same link to my threads that I do.

Consider me creeped out.

I've been waiting for someone to notice that. I must have added that to my sig at least 6 or 7 weeks ago.

Are you not entertained?

Gratz bro. Even I have yet to see what "Facebook Official" is like.

Don't let that go to your head, though, I still hate your ponies with a passionate vitriol.

We actually met over ponies. I messaged her on OKCupid when I seen she said she said she liked ponies.

Well it's fine for her, she's female.

I was just thinking . . . remember how the Emperor told Luke that he had sent an entire legion of his best troops to deal with rebels on Endor?   How could there be any best troops, when they are all clones?

I haven't seen AOTC in a while. So unless I misremember there wasn't any talk of memory transfer with the clone. Just clones that had accelerated growth. Consequently each clone would be an individual to a point. It's like having thousands of genetically identical siblings.

But whatever I don't care much about the TPM, AOTC, and ROTS so here's a random gif!!!!

Come to think of it I haven't watched the original trilogy recently either... I'll fix that soon enough.

How can they be an entire legion?

From the looks of things the troops in the battle are about the number you would expect to be guarding a base that size and that important anyway so adding another five thousand onto to that would have made for a much more epic and expensive battle.

I think the EU crowd would probably say they weren't clones anymore as they were phased out for some utter bobbins reason.

Anyway these are the off topic boards so on topic posts are off off topic.

You want the off off topic boards for that.

To bring the EU into it (which is now not totally true, since The Clone Wars is basically second-level canon and therefore not really EU) ARC Troopers and Clone Commandos are trained much more differently and more extensively than is a regular clone trooper.

To bring more EU into it, by the time of ROTJ, a lot of clones had indeed been replaced by human recruits and clones of other Imperial soldiers (done in a different and less reliable way and trained less extensively than even regular clones, focusing more on a doctrine of "overwhelming force" rather than fewer highly-trained soldiers; this was done as Jango Fett's DNA samples had by this time deteriorated and the Emperor no longer trusted Kamino's cloners due to their uprising), this was due to the rapid aging of the clones because of their accelerated growth and therefore deterioration; however, at the time of the Battle of Endor, the legion of troops sent to Endor was the 501st legion, which was still a mostly-Jango cloned legion, making them "the best".

He has denied it so unless he is proven to have lied there no issue.

It's not like Gary Glitter and Jimmy Savile where the proof and weight of evidence is almost impossible to refute.

Even so it's the voice actor not the character.

Elmo is still innocent.

*sigh*   My niece loves Elmo.    : (

Meh. It was a 7 year relationship and even if they guy was was just 16 or 17 he's at the age of consent in my mind (after all we send men of that age to prison for life all the time). If you are old enough to be tried as an adult you're old enough to decide to have sex. This guy had nothing to complain about for 7 years and now he wants to be famous. :(

Elmo's proctologist may be a little pervy, but hopefully these allegations aren't true and he doesn't go to prison.

I just read this yeah, he was 16 so within the age of consent in these isles.

And 7 years is a long term relationship.

So even if it did happen what has that got to do with anything?

It's only remotely pervy if you think being gay is pervy, I know there are a few oddballs on here but I don't think Warb's one of them.

I think it's remotely pervy because of the huge age gap. I have no issues with gays or lesbians.

Seems nowadays I have nearly as many gay/lesbian friends as straight friends. Not because I'm just so super cool but because Fond du Lac, WI is pretty white trash so liberals make up a small part of the city and we all flock together.

Yeah, big age gaps always make me wonder about the psychological state of those involved.

My cousin's wife is older than his mother (her children from her ex-husband are older than him) which is a bit unusual when you are introduced to the situation but no more than the vibe he gets meeting my partner (there's 11 years difference between us and we are both men).

I think old guys with younger women don't get anywhere near as much attention (usually it's the woman accused of being a gold digger that's the knee-jerk attention of gossip).

Age differences start to make less of an impact as you age.

The age difference between 35 and 49 is totally different than the age difference between 16 and 30.

I'm only 23 and already I have nothing in common with the sixteen year-olds I meet; I can't imagine being friends with them, let alone having a relationship with them. I can't imagine being 30 and trying it, you're just at entirely different stages of life at that point.

I would say there's something inherently skeevy about a 30 year-old making passes at a 16 year-old (any sex).

I have a similar situation. My cousin is about 40 years older than me. He's ~10 years older than my mother, who is his aunt. My mom was the youngest of her siblings, and my cousin came from her oldest sibling.
