I would give Trooperman about a week more. He has a tendency to go awol sometimes, but he almost always comes back.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Well while we wait, I've uploaded a few samples to 4shared. I think you have to sign up for a free account to see them, but here's the link:

Let me know what you think!

Those were amazing!  You beat Hayden by a million.  Plus, you sound a lot like Matt Lanter, so that's good.  I really am surprised how the bad dailogue sounded far more natural and likeable.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Also, replying to your earlier comment, I'm not sure if I did do the deleted scenes or not. I wasn't dubbing from a DVD or Bluray, but a video clip, so mostly likely I missed those scenes.

Fantastic. It sounds great. :-D

Now then, the real question is, how much NEW dialogue you've recorded for TM - because that's the important stuff. To really get the most out of an edit, we need the entire original script redubbed and then additional rewrites that can either be skilfully placed over similar looking lip movements, or spoken when the camera doesn't show Hayden's face.

When you do release this entire redub, there's a very real danger of you being inundated with "I wrote this new line, can you record it for me?" requests so that it can be tailored for individual edits. Please consider this a pre-emptive apology for the inevitable request from myself :-p

Superb work, my friend.

Well, I actually haven't recorded any new dialogue. I finished recording all original dialogue in mid August and sent it to TM. I've been waiting for an update on new dialogue since. He also planned to release all the original dialogue on their own.

Haha well, I guess I should have seen that coming. It was a lot easier to record during the Summer when I was just working, but now that I'm back at college for the next two months, I'll only be able to record on weekends for the most part. But now worries, I've already put so much work into this that I'm committed to anything to come in the future. And thanks for the compliment!

Just now chiming in. Great to meet you, and don't worry about taking too long. These projects tend to take a great deal of time to get right anyway. Loving your voice work too.

I am still here.  *hangs head in shame at lack of progress*

I have not checked my SW email in a few months; I am sorry for not responding, but glad to see Henry is still around and not too peeved with me. He has done an AWESOME job on this and I hope once we finish these tracks, it will become the new go-to for future fan editors.

There is no contract, haha; the idea was always that anyone could freely take material from anything I have done, just like I have taken ideas from other people.

I have been very busy with a combination of a difficult family issue and my final semester of school (plan to graduate in Dec. of this year if all goes well).

I still have all of the project files on a couple of hard drives though.  Even if I am not able to finish this to technical standard, I can still send the drives to someone who can.

I am still floored by this Episode 7, 8, and 9 news.  If they look like they will be good, that only makes it more imperative that we fix up the prequels as best we can (esp. since Disney may start cracking down on this sort of thing).

Good to see ya back, T-man. Looking forward to more SW, just hope it doesn't cause our little group to dig deeper underground.

Good to see you too:)  And Erik, and MTHaslett, and everybody.  I can't believe you guys are still around considering how slowly this has been going.

I'm so glad to hear from you Trooperman! I can understand these past few months being busy times with work and family problems myself; all I was looking for was reassurance that the project hadn't died. There is no need to rush, as always the more work put in puts out a better product.

As for Episode VII, if Hamill, Ford, and Fischer are returning, they're all in need of some serious facelifts (or at least diets).

Haha, I agree. I think Mark Hamill needs a beard, Carrie Fisher needs to go on a huge diet, and Harrison Ford needs to remove his left earring;)  But with George Lucas doing the story but not the screenplay or directing, I hope that they'll turn out well.  I'll be there at midnight in May of 2015, that's for sure.

I am just thrilled that we were able to locate you and bring you to OT.com; your voice work is going to make massive improvements possible in both Episode 2 and 3 for lots of future versions.

Honestly, the lack of an good, new Anakin actor has plagued this project since 2005.  Now that you're here, when I am actually able to sit down and start finishing this again, I see it going much faster and the result being much more credible that it had ever been before with my voice.

My voice dubs will end up only being as good as your edit, and seeing the one clip on Youtube as well as your own samples, I have plenty of faith that our collaboration is going to be fantastic. I truly can't believe you've been working on this for so long! I really couldn't blame you for losing interest after 7 years, but I'm glad I can help bring some life back to the project!

Just finished listening to Henry's dialogue for AOTC all the way through. All I can say is bravo. You add so much emotion to dialogue previously lacking in any. It makes me wonder whether some of the lines we previously thought were awful could have just been (or at least partially down to)  poor delivery. I think there's a lot of potential to use more of the original dialogue than I previously thought, especially if it's restructured.

The samples have been taken down now I notice.

In a bad mood now (someone smashed the window of my car during class tonight- just senseless vandalism).

Anyway, I'm loading the files now and going to run some tests- hope to post something online within the next couple days.

So sorry to hear that. I hate that feeling. I wish you speedy repairs and cooperative insurance folks.

...and pleasant file-loading and fan-editing too, of course. :-)

I was just brushing through a lot of pages of this thread.  I really wanted to ask if you could explain the purpose of the edit a little more and maybe post a list of changes.
