For some reason this forum (or maybe it's my laptop) goes a bit nuts when I try and quote other posts within a reply.
Why no Sith Ladies? Excellent point, I think. Remember Shira Brie from the comics who then became the Lady Lumiya? Excellent character and I believe she is now in the EU books. The supremely talented ian McCaig came up with the design for the Sith Witch for The Phantom Menace but Lucas felt (probably quite rightly) that it was too scary. McCaig pushed again in Attack of The Clones for a female villain and apparently it was on the cards until lucas went for the Count Dooku character, the design eventually being taken up for the Clone Wars cartoon.
So, this is their chance now, with these three films, to introduce a female villain. I, for one, hope they do it.
As for the awful dialogue in Attack of The Clones, I don't know who wrote it - Lucas or Hales - but it is pretty sad that people always assume that anything bad in the films is automatically Lucas's fault, even when he's had a co-writer.
