I doubt they'd have anything for Carrie Fischer to do.
Quite on the contrary. Luke as a Master - yes, but also with Leia as a mature politician. No longer a feisty princess, but somebody like Angela Merk... um, I mean: Mon Mothma :D
There's no place for Han Solo: when you get married (+kids?) it's too late to be a space vagabond, not to mention his age. Maybe he really should be only reminded as a hero of the new Republic who died in some battle. Chewie with him.
But hey, if they had cut Mon Mothma from the E3, don't expect anything serious from E7.
The biggest question is: who'll be the new threat? Yet another Sith popping up like a devil from a box? Boring! Even badder aliens? Not very starwarsish! At any rate the plot will be like second-rate EU stuff.
Star Wars story ended with Episode 6. No sequel trilogy should ever be made. If you liked stuff like Zahn's books, similar story could be told via live-action mini-series, the movies were always about our heroes, who got so old they'd retired by now.
