Hi there,

I have been working on an edit of Game of Thrones season one to make it "parent-friendly." I'm using the season 1 DVDs as my source. I've also been using the extremely helpful "ADigitalMan's Guide to MPEG2/AC3 Editing" and the resulting DVDs look perfect.

My problem is that there are some scenes that are subtitled because the characters aren't speaking English, and I realized only after burning the edited DVDs that the subtitles are not actually "hardwired" into the video itself. They are just sort of pulled from the subtitle file on the DVD or something and simply pop up in the scenes where they are needed.

I need to go back and insert the subtitles into the scenes where they're needed, but could anyone help me get started on this? I've attempted to figure this out on my own but I have no idea what to do first.

Any help would be much appreciated.
