Do you think Disney cares about that demographic? Seriously? Its nothing too do with us anymore. It's basically a reboot for the next generation of kids. We've been told goodbye as an audience.
Unfortunately I feel you're correct. Am I old? No. Am I old according to the demographic they aim the Clone Wars cgi show to? Yep. Like you said, Lucas has long abandoned the original fans in favor of the younger demographic, so they can sell more new toys and action figures. There's always hope that Disney will see things differently, but it's highly unlikely, given how much Disney is into marketing and merchandising their own crap.
