I liked the Vong.
They were a breath of fresh air after all those superweapon plots and dark jedi attempting to abduct Leia's kids storylines.
A powerful enemy that would unite the remains of the Empire with the Alliance.
They look odd (maybe not so much after Maul but I digress), have totally different motives than the Empire and are genuinely dangerous.
I liked the way it could almost be used as justification for what Palpatine did if he could see them coming.
And the guy is a much more proven director than anyone else who has made a Star Wars film, even St Kersh.
