Rinzler is a shill and tool, so that should come as no surprise. It doesn't change the fact that all the movies weren't written back to back to back in the mid 70s or some such nonsense, or refute the findings of zombie's excellent book. There was an extra treatment for an Episode VII that existed for however long and was worked on for however long; Lucas, who spins this stuff constantly to fit his purposes at any given time - being seen as a mythmaker, giving more cachet to the 'six and only six' films of the Star Wars Saga, getting reporters and fans off his back for new movies and the like - misled everyone about it accordingly.
