I think there's even less chance for the original versions of the films, given George's use of the word "protect". I have a hard time believing he's really that concerned about copyright infringement given his wealth, but I can see him making specific provisions to prevent the originals from resurfacing. Hope I'm wrong.
Although I agree that the legacy has already been tainted with the prequels, it's nonetheless sad to see Disney own the films as they did the Muppets. Detest the company, and in the unlikely event the originals are ever rereleased in unaltered form, I will feel dirty for giving Disney any money.
I still like George & always will, but wish he actually understood what is worth protecting.
