I'm stunned, still processing all this. George has been absolutely lying for 10 plus years to us. Sure we knew he was lying or was at least delusional but now its confirmed in his own words. And he lied to the press, everyone. Even in the films themselves they have the tacked on wrap up at the end of ROTJ SE.

I think George was done with SW long ago. He finally got to make the films he wanted to make back in the 70s without budget constraints (the prequels with their large armies and big canvas) and is now giving it all up. Literally selling the whole lot of characters to be done with.

This is a sad day in a way. I was never that much of an EU fan, for me if Lucas didn't touch it, it wasn't canon. Now its all extended universe from here on out. Yeesh.
