Can't wait to see the newest developments :-)
Really looking forward to this, Negative1.

Your last blog was very interesting so I'm looking forward to see more!
Jedi1.com was a great site,im looking forward to seeing its replacement.
I too missed the last blog, and I am looking forward to the new updates. I really appreciate your commitment to keeping OT informed of all aspects of you and your crew's work, -1.
I was not around for the last blog either, but am looking forward to being around for this one. The team is doing phonominal work...thanks to all involved!
Interesting development, -1. I wasn't around for the last blog either but I'll definitely be interested for this new one. Looking forward to see more.
FINISHED Projects: Chronologically LOST HD
And another who wasn't on the original blog but would love an invite if possible.
Fantastic work -1. This is such an exciting project.
Exciting, count me in. :)

I was there for the first one, and I'll be there for the blogs to come, until the end of time.

I would like to keep up with developments on the new blog too, but I'm not sure I've got the patience for until the end of time - I wanna see this sucker as soon as its good to go !!
Look forward to seeing this new site - loved the original one! Star Wars'd out these days, but this is the one project I still have great interest in, and am looking forward to.
Well I was just a "silent reader" on the old blog, but still I'd love to have access to the new one :-)
I really enjoyed reading the previous blog too. A lot of fascinating info about the process involved in restoring the film. Looking forward to this new one -1!
I finally got a chance to catch up with this project and am absolutely thrilled at the prospect of seeing the original films intact and in high quality (and not sourced from some horrible laser disc transfer). I don't have as much time as I'd like to be active on this forum, but I just had to pop on and say that, for me, this is the most exciting development in Original Trilogy fandom so far. Everything about this sounds incredible. I cannot wait to see the finished product and I'd love to follow your progress on the new blog. I'm extremely grateful that there are people out there like your team who are willing to preserve this milestone in cinema history for all of us! Seriously, thank you for seeing the importance of such a project and letting us all share in the results.
Count me extremely interested in the blog as well. Great work guys!
May the Force be with you.
well, it's good to see the interest.
honestly, i haven't had time to keep
the blog posts up (although we still
have a ton of material to post),which
is why we closed it. there's no point
in just repeating previous thoughts.
and we were just going into the
crunch on the transfer, and you had
already seen what we were capable of.
in opening a new one, it wasn't my idea!
it was actually cinch and the other team
members that felt we could do more now,
considering the circumstances that have
come up in the several months since we
last left off. i'm happy to take a back seat
now, and let the other members get more
involved with the community, as they don't
have the time to post on OT. but for the blog
we feel we can be more open, and have
more of a direct contact with the members
that really are interested.
we know it's there.
although there's not as much activity
like when we first got it. it's pretty much
straightforward progression of the work
on each reel.
there's damage to be fixed at the beginning
and ends of most reels. and with the exception
of the 'han shoots first' scene, the rest is just
slight color correction and some dirt removal.
there's a few anomalies, and some scenes
which look different from every version out there,
including the technicolor.
we're starting to think the technicolor references
we've seen are not the final word on the colors at
this point.
some upcoming topics:
================
1 intro to new blog and discussion
2 new team members intro
3 the screening and what we learned
(media pics and video)
4 LPP vs technicolor - the great debate,
what we think (pics and video)
of course we have some behind the scenes
stuff, discussion of the progress of work on
the reels, some all new HD samples, and
even more surprises in store down the road.
stay tuned..

That's interesting. I look forward to seeing your new blog, negative1.

so look forward to what is becoming the best, and
definitive version of star wars released in the near
future. we know we are going to be setting the standard
for preservations from here on out. we are confident
that this version will be the only one you will need
to own, and with our team, references and adherence
to detail and quality. we know you won't be
disappointed, and star wars will be preserved the
way it always should have been from the start.
That's some big words from you, but true words spoken. :) Looking forward to your new blog, great to hear that none is aboard.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.
Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com

well, there really hasn't been much competition
for this yet, right? also we are the only people
that have this type of material, and references
along with the expertise to approach it this way
that are willing to share it with others.
