The ending ROTJ has now is just too picture perfect. It reeks of cheese. Personally I'd have taken a "middle of the road" type ending. I'd have the DSII blown up (mission accomplished...yay), Lando & Falcon blowed up with it (sad...boo), Leia and Han in love and Leia becoming someone important ala Mon Mothma (yay), Luke having saved his father but still feeling the need to jet off into the galaxy to a) Contemplate life..... b) Start a new Jedi Order..... c) Go kick squatters out of Ben's hut and put up wallpaper.... (the point being that we're happy he has succeeded but we're also left somewhat melancholy that he's lived through so much in the process of saving the galaxy that he now no longer feels a part of it ala Frodo Baggins at the end of the Rings Trilogy......yay AND boo at the same time....*gasp*....duality) (and ultimately a more believable ending)
