Can't wait!

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Just be warned about the comments section. They kind of miss the point.

What I like about it is the Picture at the top with the "slider" comparison of the Official Blu-ray and the Revisited Empire Sticks Back. You can see the cyan tint the Blu-ray has, just try out the slider. I think that is a good way to compare Movies, Pictures, Etc.

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

I didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out! I agree that it's pretty cool.

At this point I would like to remind newish members that this isn't the off topic section so anything that appears over here is subject to the rules mentioned in Jay's guide to avoiding excommunication.

Best to get that in there before anything happens.

The AT-AT looks nice in the sun.

If you ignore the patches of fake snow you could almost imagine it being on Endor.

Huh, never knew the dining table in Empire was a forced perspective shot. Learn something new every day.

I've always felt this shot looked fake in Empire... I hope Adywan makes this guy look like he's more a part of the environment in Revisited.

Personally I don't see the need for it to have too much movement.

It looks a bit like an 80's television station having letters spinning around, zooming in and out etc.

Some of the best and most recognisable idents have very little motion to them.

The gold colour of the crawl and the blue of 'a long time ago" would be my touchstones (even if the team went on to doing non-Star Warsy projects they play off each other well).

I love the Ladd Company Logo is green and red and still looks good today in my opinion.

HI guys just made the new Logo for ADYWAN as the last one i made for Star Wars Revisited looked a bit dated and wasn't in HD did some sound mixing too this is not the final version so will need input, but dont get too carried away with your input as Im no Genius at this lol.. Thanks and stay Awesome

Loving the intro, but the letters should stay in their position once in place and then the screen should fade out. To have them fly off again is a bit cheesy IMO.

Well the length of this and fonts are the same as the one I made that is on the front of SW revisited, I will look at the movement of the animation and colors and I do agree with the logo should stay there at the end, just will wait for a bit more feedback and see what others are saying ?? and once Iv done changes do another upload

Well I for one actually thinks it looks pretty cool.  Sure it might be a little busy with the separate letters spinning around.  Either or, the full name or the the jumbled letters.  The music editing could use a little work but overall nice mix-up. :)

I actually don't mind that the letters fly off, though I think it would look better if they fly off at a faster speed.

Hey Sky! Good to see you working to update the opening logos for the new edit. I have a few specific pieces of feedback for you; hopefully they'll be helpful.

From what I'm seeing, it looks like you're making good use of the Optical Flares and Element3D plugins. They're two of my favorites, and I use them a lot in my own work. However, as someone who uses them a lot, they were also easily recognizable to me -- especially the bevel style on the text, since it's one of the built-in presets in Element.

One of the great things about both of these plugins is how customizable they are. For example, instead of using the Element bevel preset on the text, you could build your own, especially using some metal or even stone textures. You could even try and make the material evoke Hoth for this edit, with some icy blue flares to match the aesthetic.

Speaking of the flares: I think they provide a great accent to your text, but you may want to consider making them look as though light is glinting off of the lettering, as opposed to seeing disembodied light-less flares floating in space behind them. This is especially true at the end -- if the text is going to fly away (and I agree with the others that the text should stay -- have the lights turn down and drown them in darkness rather than having them fly away. Otherwise, it leaves your audience unsettled, because it suggests there's more text coming), it's strange to see lens flares floating around without anything to cast the light, especially if there's nothing else coming after the text.

I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to me directly if I can be of further assistance -- I'm even happy to render out a few ideas if it would serve the project. Let me know!

I never really had a problem with the old one.  Personally, if anything, I would just update the graphics on the old design to retain consistency.

But if you wanted to play with alternate or even radical new intros for Ady, here are some possible ideas:

(1) being that these are edits of films in the late 1970's and early 1980's, maybe make the graphics reflect that (like the Bolson Media Company logo in the beginning).

(2) design a logo similar to what could be done in the 1980's.  Not so much new age-y or cheesy, but what you could see 20th century fox or Warners doing if they did a recreation of their logo.

(3) Adrian is in the UK, so maybe make a play with that (the shape of Britain changes into Adywan, like an accordion).

(4) then again, you could always do the logo like the first New Line Cinema logo.

As for myself, I would just slightly update the ANH:R logo.
