It has nothing to do with the version. It just means that they aren't the prequels. I assume your probably intellignet enought to figure that out on your own, but just feel like complaining about the changes anyway.
Yes we do know the difference due to our love of SW and/or total geekness. However, it's the general public, who are going to buy 99% of the dvds, that don't know the difference and assume it really is the "original versions" (even though they probably wouldn't know the difference).
I have yet to find someone in my personal life (friends, family, co-workers, ect and who isn't a hardcore sw/movie person, but is interested in the dvds) who has any idea that these aren't the "original versions". I'm constantly having to inform people that there are 'changes' in the official dvds, since they assume that by "Original Trilogy" they are watching the pre-se/original versions.
