Or did Alfred Hitchcock update the opening credits to Vertigo with 1990s CGI because it fit more with his vision in 1958, but was crushed by the lack of technological achievement back then? Or did Coppola withdraw the Godfather 30 years after its release, and replace it with a version which recasts all the main characters with the cast of the OC? The answer is no, and it is not a sign of mental illness to want the classic films preserved.
