the thing is that probably only recent movies

have a native 7.1 soundtrack.. and unless you

have an awesome receiver that can split the

5.1->7.1 or convert it, you really can't take

advantage of it..

i'm sure that yes, it also depends a lot on

the layout of your room. my parents have a

huge living room with gigantic ceilings so it

might help them. i have a bedroom with

a lot less room to watch it in..

also there's the cost factor and time and effort..

i watch a lot of movies, and downloaded tv show,

but most only have stereo sound.. so unless i want

to invest a lot more money, for just a few things,

it might not be worth it..
