That's what Hollywood does. It takes any idea, good or bad, that it thinks/knows will make money and total destroys it.

As long as there are masses of idiots going to see bad movies
(Eurotrip? Kill Bill? Cinderalla Story anyone?) then the average quality of moives is going to go down.
