Bullshit I liked Terminator 3 because it was a good movie. It had a good story, good acting, great effects. Tits or no tits its a good movie. The tits are just a little added benefit. Im not going to pretend I didn't love em but as Eurotrip proves its not enough to prevent a bad script from sucking.

i didnt know that US and Canadian movie ratings were different..
so what kinda movie would recieve an NC 17 rating over there in the states?

Pornos for one. Often times when we have a Director's Cut or "Unrated Cut" that cut is either

A) A version that was simply too long for theaters (IE Dances With Wolves)
B) A version that had too much violence/sex to be considered for R (IE American Pie movies)

Filmmakers don't like to give their movies an NC-17 rating. It basically cuts down on a huge amount of profits.

Some films that have been released as NC-17 (or it's older rating, X) are Midnight Cowboy (which was re-rated to R) and A Clockwork Orange (also re-rated an R).

I wouldn't like an R rated Star Wars. But this is Alien and Predator. Two R rated franchise. The PG-13 rating for Alien versus Predator is insane. I also read that the movie was planned and filmed as an R rated picture. Some mother fuckers at the studio cut his movie down to make it a more family friendly movie. I hope we get an R rated directers cut for the DVD.

I know, after seeing the trailers for this I'm surprised Disney didn't jump all over this. The perfect movie to take your kids to!

The movie is PG13 because an R rating significantly cuts into their target audience's ability to see the film-meaning less profit. PG13 is the most common rating mainly for that reason. R rated films do not usually do well at the box office anymore.. this isn't the 80's.

Just got back from viewing the film....... regaurding the use of the "F" word....we do hear it once, and then another time the main actress says "You Mother..." and almost says it again, but doesn't (I think they cutt it out).

I'd give it a 3/10........ no plot.........no storyline....... it sucked...even if it ad been rated 'R' it would have sucked.... if your an alien trilogy fan like me this film is a dissipiintment!!!!! DONT PAY TO SEE THIS! borrow it from a buddy when its out on dvd...... the only good thing about it was the HOTT actress.....shes the reason I even gace it a 3 rating.

You know what I always wanted to see, but I've never found? A NC-17 or X rated World War II or Vietnan War movie. A perfect anti-war movie should show a war's real gore and violence.

It doesn't have to be rated X or NC-17 to show the bad side of war. There are plenty of R-rated war movies that are very sickening in their violence.

That's what Hollywood does. It takes any idea, good or bad, that it thinks/knows will make money and total destroys it.

As long as there are masses of idiots going to see bad movies
(Eurotrip? Kill Bill? Cinderalla Story anyone?) then the average quality of moives is going to go down.

Hopefully they cut out all the good bits to get the pg rating so they could make loads of money at the cinemas. Then theyll release a R rated Directors cut on dvd.

i was another person who didnt freak out at Kill Bill...
it was good and all but not something that i can say i loved...
i probably wouldnt watch it again...

AVP was PG-13... not PG.

Well, I normaly don't care for movies with pointless amounts of swearing and gore, a tired plot, a detestable protagonist, and enourmous gaps in logic.

Like diejarjar said, I guess it is just a matter of personal taste.
