At last! a thread for posting speculative simulations of celebrities asking George to restore and release the original Star Wars films in their original state:

Hi we're ABBA, we asked George Lucas if he would restore and release the original Star Wars films but he said no. :-(

Hello, this is Nick Van Eede, I'm a big big Star Wars fan and in the late 80s I got the opportunity to meet George Lucas.  Remember me and the Cutting Crew are big big fans, on tour we had the 'for the last time' Definitive Collection Laserdisc set playing every night.  During the post party one night in northern California in walks none other then George Lucas himself!  I raced to pick up the DCLD set to get an autograph, this kind of opportunity wouldn't happen again.  George gets this mixed reaction on his face, something was amiss.  He was polite and gracious and signed the LD. (it's still on the mantel in the tour room)  Then he got this weird smirk and told this tale about the upcoming digital cinema revolution.  The LaserDiscs have never felt so heavy.  ....I couldn't believe it.

I felt like the Original Trilogy just died in my arms tonight... and that's how we came up with our hit song, true story.

...I should have walked away.

Hi, there! You probably don't know me, seeing as I'm a native of Earth-235, a universe located sixty-four realities away from yours, but I'm a famous pop musician, born in Austria-Hungary but raised in Kanata. Anyway, I watched the first film in the Star Wars Quadrilogy back in June 1, 1974 on my sixteen birthday, fell in love with the franchise on the spot, and have been a fan ever since. I'm asking Mr. Giorgio Lucius to please, please, remaster and release cleaned-up versions of the theatrical editions on mini-LaserDisc and HD-DVD for my children's, and children's-children's, generation to enjoy it all their splendid grandeur.

The Amazing Criswell predicts :

Ladies and Gentlemen of America, in the year 2004 (as calculated on your calenders today) Mr Marcia Lucas will release fully restored and preserved versions of the original Star Wars films on DVD (a home cinema medium) and will follow this up seven years later with versions of all twelve of his films on high definition (including all the deleted scenes).

He will then astonish the world by re-releasing them all into cinemas in 1D and collapse the entire universe to a singularity so that everyone can enjoy these films without any extra dimensions getting in the way.

Ridley Scott will make a rubbish Alien Prequel.
