What is needed is a ¨standard¨ for the SE in the same way that we now see the GOUT as a standard for the OT. That way ALL future projects could sync to that standards video and audio or AviSynth scripts could be written to convert existing transfers to that standard in the way that Darth Mallwalker has done with some earlier OT releases.

This could be LD, VHS or HD broadcasts but I believe that the only ¨true" theatrical SE source we have are these DTS tracks which would be perfect as an SE standard.

It would be interesting to see/hear how close to synchronisation the DTS are with the work done by msycamore earlier in the thread.

Of course, anything like setting an SE standard would need a new thread of which these DTS tracks should play a massive part. Imagine being able to have different languages or subtitles synced together or the audio for the hard of hearing tracks all mixed to the same source......

Ever since I bought my 5 Star Editions of the S.E. I felt that a standard should be set so that these versions DON'T fall in to oblivion.  They are what they are but they were a theater experience.....a celebration of the hard work all those people put in so many years ago to give us something we love even now.  Sure, they got a facelift of sorts but it was a singular experience that should be regarded and preserved for that reason.  I'm glad to see that there is such enthusiasm for this project.

Thanks to borisadndoris and Eldonante's Jurassic Park project, it grew wings and inspired me to see it forward.  Preserving every open aspect available to us as fans keeps me here and gives me hope.
