I'm sorry, just testing another browser. It seems I may have to use this crap for a few days, so I might as well make it more comfortable for myself.

I don't suppose this forum supports Tapatalk? It's a really nice forum reading app, but the forum has to support it with some kind of extension I think.

Since this is spreading throughout the torrents as Harmy mentioned, is it best to try out TPB later this weekend instead of trying to get an MS account?  My internet at home won't be hooked up until tomorrow (I'm typing this at work) and I want 2.0 to be the first thing I go for when it's hooked up!  :)

Trying to get a myspleen account is not hard. Just ask, and you shall receive.

PM me!!

If you want a Myspleen invite, just PM me and ask.

Are there any other reconstructions available in other languages? Harmy if you could add them to the BD, that would blow my mind.

Just stopping by to say how amazing this project is. I downloaded and watched SW v2 on Weds evening and was utterly blown away. I couldn't imagine this project coming out any better. The few scenes which I knew were lifted from low quality sources (in Mos Eisley etc) looked so much better than I thougth they would and the quality drop really wasn't distracting. The de-SE'd scenes were seamless, incredible work! The colours are wonderful too. This is the best version of SW I have EVER seen and imagine that if (by some miracle) the theatrical cuts ever did get officially released to Blu-ray, they wouldn't look this good. This is as definitive as SW will ever get, I'm pretty sure of that. Incredible work on the 5.1 mix too, h_h.

After watching SW v2 I immediately watched ESB v1 and last night watched RotJ v1. In the latter two films I can see the drop in quality due to the HDTV sources used and look forwarded to these being upgraded this year by you too.

Thank you so much for your efforts, you have made a lot of SW fans very happy :)

Oh yeah, I'm seeding this at MS for as long as possible, already at a 1.5x ratio.

As with v. 1.0, a huge thanks to you Harmy for this gem, and a great respect for the amount of work you put into this project.

Do MKVs support multi-angle video tracks? I suppose it would be fairly easy to realize something like that in a container format like MKV... that way you could include multiple crawls and Greedo subs, at least in the MKV.

For the Blu-ray (and DVD, respectively) this is probably much more difficult, as I haven't seen a single fanmade disc that contained multi-angle. I'm only familiar with Adobe Encore for authoring discs and it STILL doesn't support multi-angle.

^Yeah, or alternate opening crawls, both for the '81 version and alternate languages.

(Y'know, I wouldn't mind alternate angles for ESB and ROTJ that simply remove the "Episode X: Strike X of the Xers" marker in order to remove implication of the prequels from the OT.)

My stance on revising fan edits.

Doesn't have to be multi-angle for BD, you could do the elements as seperate clips and then seamlessly link them together in different playlists.

That's how the 2011 Blu-rays are done.

What you are probably looking for the MKV is "Ordered Chapters". You have to create one continuous video stream which includes all editions you want to use, f.e different opening crawls. The different editions are then selectable in your players menu. Unfortunately there's a pretty severe disadvantage: Only two splitters support that feature so far, namely Haali Media Splitter and the preferable AV Splitter (not LAV Splitter!). When using other splitters or some kind of hardware player such as WDTV the file will play as if the different editions didn't exist. I'm also not sure if there's a way so that the correspondent audio and subtitle streams would play automatically.

Bluray has a similar feature called "Seemless Branching". In contrary to the MKV, the alternate scenes are in seperate m2ts files. Edition selection is done via playlists and the main menu. There are several commercial disc with this feature enabled, f.e. Avatar and Gladiator.

This is a great idea! It'd be a nice as a fan-edit.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Got my AVCHD done and it looks amazing. Left out most of the audio options just for personal preference. All I need is Hairy Hen's, the 2 channel and mono 77' audio. I can't notice any shift in video quality from the MKV on my 720p TV.

EDIT: For those wanting to do the same. I used a program called AVCHDcoder (a quick google search can yield the download link). Load the MKV file into the program, select which audio streams you want to use, select the output size (I chose Dual Layer), select the output folder and let it do its thing. Mine took around 7 hours to finish but the results are very nice and can be burned to dual layer dvd.

Youre right.  Got it from somewhere else, and it works great.  An amazing job, Harmy.

I skipped through it a bit, and overall looks amazing.  The multiple sound mixes are great.  I hope to try to add in my own PCM track ripped from the definitive LDs at some point.

I know Mattmanomega achieved that via "chapter branching" for his Rebellion Star Wars DVD with the '77 and '81 openings. On other news, I bought a BD-RE just because I can't wait for the Blu-ray to come out. I hope my poor Audio/Video skills will suffice with the scripts within the threepio folder. BTW, finally got a chance to play it on my TV by sending it to my set top box. So far so good!

FYI, the complete Project Threepio has pre-made SUP files for muxing onto DVD and Blu-ray.  No scripting required.  Harmy's folder only includes the SRT files for Star Wars, because that works better with how he imagined the MKV would get used.

Also, there may be a major update to Project Threepio in a few hours if I can get my act together...

Dowloaded from there!!!

Mediafire it's a good option, you can donwload 10 files at the same time with Jdownloader... and in a decent speed

Thank you so much Harmy and all the ones who helped in this project!

GREAT JOB!

I'll convert it into a BD, as soon as I can...

I noticed some delay in the spanish dub, but not big deal, it's very easy to fix with tsmuxer... maybe it needs a -500 or -800 delay :)
