This reminds me of one of the most rage-inducing moments in my life.

A friend and I were talking about the 3D release of TPM and another friend came into the conversation and said something along the lines of 'Star Wars sucks, why would you want to see that, etc' and of course, both of us being Star Wars fans, we were upset and questioned why he thought they sucked, and his response was 'The special effects are so BAD!' I was confused at first, but my friend deduced that he was talking about the special effects in the OT. He told him that this was the prequels, and the effect were CGI, and he said 'Oh. In that case, I might go see it.'

I'm sure I don't need to explain why that upset me, but I firmly believe (and afterwards, my friend I was talking to initially agreed with me as well) that the models and puppetry in the OT look far, far more realistic than any of the CGI in the prequels. And honestly, I don't consider that an opinion, but a fact. I think the only reason he thought CGI looks more real is because he's been brainwashed by today's media and society to believe that CGI=good special effects and puppets and costumes=bad, without actually taking the time to look and think.

And, of course, the added rage of judging the films by their ''bad'' SFX instead of their story, characters, etc.
