Yes, wait until Harmy releases the AVCHD version which can be burned to DVD9 ;-)

Is there a release date for that?

I believe the original plan was one week after the MKV release.

It's done when it's done. But I don't think it'll take too long.

Apparently answers like this, as easy as they are for some to understand.... seem to bring out the faux-dyslexia in others.

@7FN: If they are the original files, you need to set a delay of 1017ms.

Hmmm I added that delay and it was way out of sink. Remuxed without it and all went fine :)

Screening tomorrow evening on a 110" screen and Belbecus' full-res mono which I just muxed in woohooo! It'll be like 1977 all over again... Now if only I could de-age 35 years too ;)

Thanks again Harmy!

I'm trying to download the Usenet fixed version with SABnzbd, and it gets stuck on part003.rar because it says it's encrypted. What gives?

I was wondering, does anyone know if harmy has plans to remaster his versions of Empire and Return in the near future, like he did with SW? I haven't dl'ed them yet, and if they were coming soon, I might as well just wait for that version...

I think Moth3r flagged this - pw is in the nfo.

Heads up for those using SABnzbd to download from Usenet: it has an option, enabled by default, to protect you from wasting bandwidth downloading encrypted (password-protected) RARs.

I found that my download had been paused after the first RAR because it had detected that encryption is present.

In this case however, the password is given in the NFO so it's all good.

OK, I looked up how to give SABnzbd the password, I downloaded the NFO first and got it from there. I've spent all morning *trying* to download this, first from MySpleen and now from Usenet, so I hope it works now.

I downloaded from isohunt, and it will only play the first 20 minutes or so.  i tried to remux with tsmuxer, and i got this error.

Matroska parse error: Invalid EBML number size 0 at pos 4134288813

Nice time for me to start having issues w/ Easynews...they're up to file 161 but 6 of the files are incomplete or missing off of their servers!

Does grabbing the nzb from either nzbindex or binsearch fix your problem? If the files are not intact this way either, then wait some hours for Easynews to update the files on their servers. If they don't, you can download these files from Google Drive f.e., rename them and extract the archive. Or alternatively download some of the par2 files. They allow repair if at least 90% of the blocks are ok.

Yeah, it's all good.  I grabbed some of the par files & rebuilt the missing ones.

Reading through Harmy's recent posts, I'd say you shouldn't expect releases in the immediate future.  From what I can gather, he has some real life matters (scholastics, future employment, etc.) to tackle, then he plans on packaging the existing version up as a blu-ray (which will require him to finish up with the menus and artwork and other extras).  He also suggested he'll be making a video or two containing some comparisons and/or making-of shots.  Plus, he started working on Star Wars 2.0 in earnest in 2011, and you can see how long it took to finish.

Short answer: don't wait to download the existing despecialized editions of ESB and ROTJ.  Both are in great shape and very watchable.

By the way, I barely know my ass from my elbow, so you might want to take this entire post with a grain of salt. T

Posting from phone agn. He is right it will be months before esb and rotj v2.0 are released.aikj Argh! I cant delete anything, so when I make a typo, I can't do anything about it. Anyway, forgot to mention that the correct in sync audio files for German and Spanish are linked at teh and you can remux them with mkv merge. Please keep in mind that if you're seeding a torrent, this will make it(seeding _can someone plese explain this more clearly, this phone thing is killing me) impossible, so please give the torrents some love before remuxing the fixed audio or keep the original copy seeding for a while after.

I bought a Blu Ray burner today solely because of DeEd 2.0

Just finished watching v2.0 and all I can say is wow!  Thank you Harmy for restoring such a definitive piece of cinematic history, the work you put into this very much shines through.  This will be how I watch SW from here on out.

Take a breather as you deserve it, but I am anxiously awaiting ESB and ROTJ v2.0.

The fixed German dub is on Usenet now. The Spanish dub will probably be uploaded tomorrow.
