Harmy, you questioned what this was before. What this does is create a unique value for the file, which if nothing was changed or corrupted in transit, should match what we get on our end once the file is done downloading. It's very useful in figuring the integrity of a file. (Things I learned for my certification last week)Pheran said:

Harmy, it would be awesome if you could post a SHA-1 hash of your MKV so that we can verify our file is exactly the same as yours. This is very easy to do with Windows.
1. Download and install the excellent HashTab utility:
http://www.implbits.com/HashTab.aspx
2. Right click your MKV file and select Properties.
3. Click the "File Hashes" tab (provided by HashTab).
This will also give you CRC32 and MD5 checksums, but SHA-1 is the most modern/reliable checksum.
