Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released) — Page 226

Hey dj what sony player do you have?  Mine does play mkv and it's this year's model.  Is yours older possibly?

I have checked all of the audio tracks and they are all in sync here.  The sync issues are DEFINITELY a result of the download not being completed.

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

Not true. They're out of sync in my MKV from before I even packed it. It's hard to notice with the German audio, since it's only slightly off but the Spanish audio is totally off.

Well, I'd rather not have a link to my Dropbox posted on TEH, but I'll try to find some other place to upload it to.

Hey Laserschwert,

can you please send me a link to the higher bitrate German audiotrack?

maybe you even have audio tracks for Empire and RotJ v1.0 in German?

because I just found out about this awesome project of Harmy, and right

now I'm trying to track down the German audio for the other two films too.

I can download from whatever filelocker you'd choose to upload.

@all with torrent related problems

I would suggest that those folks with problems downloading from torrents,  drop that idea, as all needed files are available on Google Drive, from which you can download/export the whole movie in half an hour (with no captchas or any bandwith limitation). So it makes no sense to wait for torrent data? does it? Just check tehPARADOX for links.

btw, here are the checksums for the RARs

checksum for the unrar'd mkv (in case you downloaded from a torrent)

Thank you so much Harmy for the ridiculous amounts of time and effort you (and everyone else, who was part of this project) put into this!

Please check out the German track while the Star Wars Logo appears. The music starts too late.

I stand corrected.  You're right.

Well I have downloaded and extracted the first rar available on Mediafire, and the glitch on the 0:20 mark does not appear. So now I need to find out how to combine the first rar with the whole mkv I have downloaded from Myspleen.

Alright, I've re-encoded the German track with MeGUI instead of BeSweet, and now the error is gone. I'll upload it tomorrow though... heading to bed now.

Just downloaded it last night and works fine thank god. I haven't watched it yet but from what I saw when previewing it, it looks fantastic. So can't wait to watch it this weekend.

Thanks for all the hard work, Harmy.

FINISHED Projects: Chronologically LOST HD

This looks fantastic.

Somebody needs to upload this to youtube for the general public.  If you cite it as "fair use" it will take at least a couple weeks for fox to email them and for them to take it down.

Then the cat will be out of the bag and people will know that the original is not "lost."

It could be titled "Star Wars Original 1977 Version restored in HD"

Anyway thanks for your hard work.

I wish that I could just wish my feelings away...but I can't.  Wishful wishing can only lead to wishes wished for in futile wishfulness, which is not what I wish to wish for.

Let's ask Harmy about these things before that sort of step gets taken...

Project Threepio (Star Wars OOT subtitles)

Yeah, no frickin' way. I totally gave up on YouTube (some of you may have noticed I deleted all my SW videos).

What I was however planning to do was make a little documentary for the BD, explaining what the DeEd is and maybe upload that to YouTube when it's done. It would explain the most important parts of the OOT issue and how the general public is being deceived and misled into either not even knowing there was any earlier version of it or at least thinking the original versions had cardboard cut out spaceships and stuff and how the DeEd can be used to educate people about this issue ;-) Covering my ass a little there but at the same time I believe that it is true.

That's the most frustrating part- the average person has bought the line that the originals are "not very good quality."  That featurette sounds like a great idea once you are done with it.  I just want people to know and to see clips for themselves.

If someone could please find or put together a tutorial on how to replace an audio file with MKV merge, I'd really appreciate it, I really need to study right now.

Here's how to replace asynchronous audio tracks or to add further audio tracks.

First of all, download the fixed audio tracks.

Get MKVToolnix from http://www.heise.de/download/mkvtoolnix.html and install it. Open it and add the MKV-file and the fixed audio tracks.

All tracks including the fixed audio tracks are now listed in the box below. Uncheck the asynchronous audio tracks and check the fixed audio tracks. Choose a new order by using the up and down buttons.

Left click on a fixed audio track, choose "General track options", name the track (f. e. the German track should be called "2.0 @ 384Kbps"), determine it's language and deactivate "Default track flag".

If you want to add further audio tracks that aren't synchronized to the video track yet, you may have to choose "Format specific options" as well and set a positive or negative delay. It's not advised to stretch the audio track during the muxing because this stretching isn't permanent, has to be generated each time while the movie is playing and will stress your system resources.

Click on "Start muxing".

Harmy, just want to say you did a great job on this man!

Thanks :-)

This thing is spreading over the torrent sites like wildfire. I sincerely hope it's not the old corrupt upload.

It shouldn't be since I removed the pages for them and of course stopped seeding them.  Even if the swarm is still going, it is most likely incomplete and the people will get the clue and seek out the new ones.

First of all thank you Harmy for all your hard work!!!! Secondly, could anyone possibly hit me up with a myspleen invite? I was downloading the TPB torrent until it was discovered to be corrupt. Not sure where to get it now. Thanks in advance :-)

You guys are going to piss a lot of people off if you start asking for myspleen invites again.

JUST PM ME AND ASK!!

Sorry if I broke any rules. I guess I was just a little too excited to get hold of Harmy's latest masterpiece

Harmy, that's a brilliant idea about YouTubing the upcoming blu-ray making-of documentary.  Do that, and I'll promote the hell out of it (yeah, me and half the world).

Harmy, I think it's a brilliant idea to create such a featurette and put it on youtube :-)

For those of you who want the DVD5, the guy who did the encode is currently uploading it to usenet it seems.

Hey, n00b, is there a way I can merge two mkvs from a certain frame with MKVToolNix? For example, open a mkv, then add a second mkv right after frame 2000 of the first mkv, and that includes the audio. Because I'm spending a lot of time googling how to do this...

I never needed such a function but have you already tried the "append" button (next to the "add" button)?

Yeah... But it seems it adds the mkv at the end of the first one, or I'm just stupid and I don't know how to properly edit them...
