This thread is even more all over the place than usual.

Anyone know where I can get a good glass of orange juice at 2 am?

I keep getting a "not a bencoded file" error at MySpleen.

Sorry guys, I tried.

This isn't the bluray or avchd release is it? It's just the mkv or whatever it's called that those will be made from? Still exciting, but also beyond my knowledge/skill level...

Couldn't get it to work at TPB either.  They seem to be having sql problems.  I did manage to get it on 1337x if anyone's interested.  PM for link if you like.

It's starting to go up on newsgroups now.

I see that this is from 12 hours ago, so it may be holding for the go.

Sorry guys, I tried.

I had this error when I created the torrent file using the newest uTorrent (older versions created a working torrent file). Then I created the torrent file using torrentMaker and that one could be uploaded without a problem.

Well I'm not going to change the way I do things for it to work on MySpleen.  I also have the latest uTorrent and the torrent I created is working fine at TPB and 1337x.  I went to the Spleen forum and posted a question about the error, so we'll see what happens.

Not to get too far ahead, Harmy, but for ESB have you considered reaching out to Snicker to see if he would produce a source benefitting from his channel recovery tricks?  I contacted him to see if there was any way to help by volunteering to run part of the process on other computers, but he informed me that the process relies on numerous liscensed plugins.

I know the general consensus is that ESB is in better shape than the other two films, but for me the lack of dynamic range, partcularly in all of the space shots (seriously, look at the first imperial fleet shot - there's more shadow detail in the GOUT for chrissake) makes me wince every time I see it.  The asteroid chase in particular is so bad that parts of the TIEs dissapear into the starfield and make them practically invisible at times.  It's even more of a shame as ESB is without a doubt the best shot and lit film in the OT and it's dynamic range and pallette have been mangled since 1997.

Happy birthday Harmy! I didn't have the time to watch the movie, I was just eager to watch the lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Vader. It's amazing!

Please bear with me if I tend to get too excited about anything or say too much, I have issues.

Happy Birthday Harmy :-)

I'll start to upload a fixed post to usenet in a few minutes. The rar files are simply renamed, the par2 set was recreated though. I hope we'll get a good posting now. Sorry for the confusion.

Happy Birthday

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.
