With regards to Vertigo, I agree that it is slow at times, but the psychological damage of our character and the obsessive tragedies he experiences are quite fascinating to me. The moment when Stewart holds Novak in his arms, looks around seeing the Spanish mission...powerful stuff IMO. I think a big draw for the film is Hermann's score. He's an amazing composer.

I've thought of resurrecting the old soundtrack thread, and if I did, I'd definitely have Bernard Hermann as one of my favorite movie composers of all time.
