Much thanks! I'll download these when I'm finished defragmenting my hard drive.

OK, I finally downloaded these and listened to them. Apparently, these are not the *original* mono mixes, they were restorations/reconstructions done by Paul Rutan.
They sound to be in some sort of rechanneled "duophonic" simulated stereo, and most of the songs still come from higher-fidelity sources than the dialogue scenes, but at least they utilized the mono mixes of the songs, instead of dropping in the stereo album mixes like the MPI versions.
I would still like to hear the true original mono mixes someday. Anybody got any recordings of old TV airings from the late 70s/early 80s?
<p>Tried bidding on this decent looking YS print. (No easy task with the crappy wi-fi I've had to contend with while traveling.) The reserve is just too damn high. :(</p>

Where were you in '77?
And what the heck is up with the text formatting???
EDIT: Just got the memo, never mind!

I have a version of AHDN AMC and help! With Ys the LD version.
The beauty of being able to keep your Double handle handbags safe and sound when you are out in the cwmalls.com open is that Embossed Python handbags will save you money from having to get a replacement.
I’m working on a custom disc of Help, as it’s the only Beatles Blu-Ray that seems to be lackluster in quality.
Does anyone have the AMC mono audio track for me to sync up? I’m also looking for the “restored stereo track” from the MPI Laserdisc as a hi-fi, if not theatrically accurate alternative. Right now, the only special feature audio track I have is a broadcast of Help from 1978 taken from MySpleen; I assume it is mono…
For video, methinks I’m using an upscale of the MPI Open Matte DVD. Slightly color-corrected with a grain plate, it passes well enough for a 16mm print, with the transfer being dirty enough for it to be plausible. Strangely, it seems the best possible option. I considered using the BD with a grain plate, but even then the EE and motion smearing is still noticeable. The 2007 DVD is hideously compressed at times, which is ironic considering the original MPI DVD only takes up a small 3.97 GB on a DVD5!

Here’s an interview with Paul Rutan Jr. who did the restoration on the AMC A Hard Day’s Night and Help! Worth a listen as its very informative as to the lengths he went to retrieve prints of these films.
The mono audio track on AHDN came from a UK print as the original US prints had the volume turned up on them encase the film couldn’t be heard over the screaming teenagers in the audience. This meant the US prints all had clipping and distortion.
I know this is an older thread, so how does the AMC soundtrack compare to the more recent Criterion version?
