I'm not a smoker, but afew times in my life I've had cigars with friends. By had, I mean not inhaling and just trying to gather smoke in my mouth before blowing it out like I'm all cool. The last time, I accidentally inhaled a couple of times. An hour or two later I was vomiting, and the rest of the night I literally could not sit up or else I felt incredibly nauseous.
I won't touch a cigar ever again.

You're not a smoker, but you were doing it right, if I'm not mistaken. You're not supposed to inhale cigar smoke.
I smoke cigars, cigarettes, pipe (well until the poor thing had an unfortunate accident)...

As a former sometimes cigar smoker I can confirm that you aren't meant to inhale the smoke.
A lot of people do but seeing as it's meant to be a flavour thing rather than a coughing uncontrollably and choking thing the aim is to roll the smoke around the mouth picking up the taste and popping it out again.
Some people really enjoy the coughing and choking thing but that's just kinky.

Yeah, smoking cigars was actually what helped me get off the cigarettes.

I once discovered one of my buddies secretly hates my other buddy. I simply couldn't understand why, what grudges he could bear? It turned out he couldn't accept the other had less vices and more talents than him. True story.
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

True but have you heard about a domestic abuse case directly linked to smoking? I could imagine one linked to giving up smoking but not smoking itself. What about the hit and run drivers where their judgement was blurred by tobacco.
You never hear someone say the next morning, "I'm really sorry about those really awful and hurtful things I said last night, it was just the fags talking".
And the effect of watching someone you love destroying themselves with booze and over indulgence is exactly the same as watching someone chewing their lungs away on tobacco. Not everyone who smokes does it in close proximity to someone else.
Everyone who drives however is pumping crap into the faces of anyone nearby but cars don't have to have diseased lung livery or only drive in covered areas.
Some motorcyclists do however wear skulls and such and I have to love them for that.
