They finally got the aspect ratio back to its original correct size as what was seen in theaters on the blu ray and yet then they had to apply harsh digital video noise reduction on the original digital files.  It is somewhat disappointing that they did not go back to scan the film negative.  But then the effects would be at a lower quality so i can understand why they did not.

It would have been nice to have the grain not removed the original color timing and theatrical dolby 5.1 EX  audio in the DTS HD MA container.

I have heard the blu ray audio is a nice approximation of the theatrical.

Would it have even been possible through seamless branching to have the theatrical and DVD cuts on blu ray?

I am of course talking about the phantom menace which is of course the only film in the prequel trilogy and not a video.
