2 - so you think the title is good because it explains what is going to happen in the movie right?

It fits the events of the movie well without spoiling it.

I agree. I just thought the title Attack of the Clones was the perfect title for the events of the movie.

thats all we wanted was an explanation as to why you thought it was the perfect title...

That would be f***ed. But considering Lucas's state of mind these days, anything is possible.

That really would be gross!

In TPM Anakin is 9 (nearly 10) & Obi-Wan is meant to be about 25-30 (& still a PADAWAN?????) so that would mean Obi was about 15 when Anakin was born or rather 14 when he "seeded" Mrs Skywalker! Dont they teach safe sex at the Jedi Temple??

Hmmm.... It seems one is never to old to begin Jedi training! Obi Wan was as you said still a Padawan at close to 30 and Luke began his training at about 20 years of age. And then the biggest blunder is the Jedi councel´s statement that Anakin was just "too old" to begin training when he was just a small boy, 9 or 10 years old! He could have easily chilled out for a few years before even considering going for it!! How about some consistency here Mr. Lucas!

Obi Wan I cannot explain really. Luke's age as opposed to Anakin's and the comment by the Jedi Council can be explained away by the fact that Luke was the "last hope". I don't think they're gonna discriminate based on age when he's the only one left. Just my two Lincolns.

I agree, Bossk, though Yoda did say Luke was 'too old to begin the training.'

I can just see it...Yoda turns him away because he's too old, and as Luke flies off with R2, Obi-Wan appears beside Yoda:
'That boy was our last hope.'
'No! Too old is he. Accept him the council never would!'
'Do you see a council around here, Master Yoda?'
'Damn! Now what hope have we? Screwed, we are.'

galahad, you also have to remember that when Yoda said that about Luke's age, he was saying it as a copout. He was looking for excuses to not train him. Remember the tone of voice he used when he said it? Very indicative of a copout. Yoda was holding on to old Jedi ideals from the days of the Council and seemingly not facing the fact that Luke was the last one and that he needed to be trained regardless.

True, Bossk. I do remember his tone of voice in that scene. I was just pointing out that he said it.

Thanks, Bossk!

I do sometimes forget to remember that others don't watch certain movies as many times as I do, and consequently don't have the script memorized.

when it comes down to ESB...
i have that thing branded in my brain...

I think Yoda was also using the 'too old' copout because he was worried that Luke's impatience might eventually turn him to the dark side, the same fate that be-fell his father.
