-Maeco Star Wars disco remix. On vinyl single, or as part of a greater SW-themed disco album. I have both, but sadly no disco ball or bellbottom pants. When this was new it was at least hip, now its both pathetic AND uncool. Star Wars disco music. Just say that again to yourself. There was Star Wars disco music. And people danced to it.

You can have my 8-track tape when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Star Wars Purist, I agree with you, and that someone your age feels that way gives me hope for the future of the OT and its legacy.

Sorry to bump this but I found this article that reminded me of your first post so much I just had to leave this here.

Seems like a barrel of laffs!

The whole premise of that site is bullshit.

I stopped reading when the guy drew a connection between the PT and Greek mythology. I'm so sick of hearing that crap. I admit I'm no expert on Greek mythology, but I sure as hell wasn't born yesterday; whatever the Odyssey/Illiad may be, they sure as hell aren't glorified Z-grade schlock like the prequels.

The Prequels and the Special Editions suck.

Dude, Duracell, I took Latin for 4 years, was in the Junior Classical League/Latin Club/Classical Antiquity Appreciation club in High School for 2 years, and have read The Odyssey, Iliad, Aeneid, Oedipus Rex, Plato's Republic and so many other great reads of classical antiquity in my life and have seen a heap of film adaptations of the Odyssey, Iliad, Jason's Argonauts, and all of that.  Believe me, even some of the worst film/TV hack adaptations of ancient works from thousands of years ago, are superior to the Prequels, and that article is completely missing the point.  Those classical works are ingenious cultural touchstones of inscrutable literary workmanship and cultural value...the Prequels were bombastic failures as films in nearly every regard. No Comparison!

-Someone, someday, needs to bring back the LIGHT SIDE to Star Wars.  Has anyone else noticed striking similarites between the character of Anakin/Vader and George Lucas, or is it just me?

-It's called STAR WARS. NOT "Episode IV: A New Hope". Kids, get this straight.

-Please read the Archie Goodwin daily SW comics: Too good to be forgotten!
