Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

In which movie would Gungans be a suitable character?
Friday The 13th: The Phantom Menace?
Star Wars Episode XXX: Erica Strikes Back
If you want Nice, go to France

In other news, the JAWS disc is everything Star Wars isn't.

Yeah, that's the way you treat a classic, a fantastic release and restoration.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Is that a Dennis Weaver in "Duel" icon, Baronlando?
Where were you in '77?
Looks like it, damn I need to buy that film, suddenly got the urge to watch it again, one of Speilbergs best. Has there been any good videorelease of Duel?

Yup, that's Weaver. The dvd is really good, though I wonder if the short network tv version still exists. The new spielberg interview in the extras is one of his best, very sharp.
There is an episode of The Incredible Hulk that shamelessly uses footage from Duel. Either doubles of Weaver's car and the truck from hell were still hanging around the studio lot in the late 70's, or someone did a good job dressing up similar vehicles to match the movie footage.

Just bought the saga box... Couldn't pass a deal of it, Jurassic Park trilogy and Matrix trilogy for 50€. So I finally got the extras I've wanted plus seven coasters which won't go to my player ever.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
Where did you get that? I'd love it. I want the bonus discs too, my little brother would appreciate the prequels and I totally want the JP trilogy on BD. I already have the OT BDs and the 1st Matrix, so I'd probably give the OT and the Matrix Trilogy (don't really care for the other two at all) to someone (or sell) but even so it would be a great deal :-)
I got them used from an auction with a buy it now price, it was online only for an hour. Didn't even think twice, had to get it. I already have JP trilogy and likewise the first Matrix so I hope I get half of my money back selling those. With the seven discs I don't care from SW I also don't care about JP or Matrix sequels, either, LOL. But I'm a sucker for boxed sets and as said, couldn't pass that deal.

Watched Close Encounters and JAWS blurays today and LOVED them! Couldnt believe the picture clarity of JAWS!
Attn George Luca$: Please loosen up your collar, thus restoring normal blood flow to your brain, and make the OOT into Bluray already!

Star Wars-the special edition-1981
With all the talk of JAWS/RAIDERS/Spielberg this week, and the concept of a Dumb Special Edition originating with Spielberg, it's interesting to ponder what a SE of Star Wars would have been if Lucas had really followed the Close Encounters example and done it for '81 or '82. Would he have cut anything out or back in like CE3K did? (I never bought the notion that he'd been pining away for many wistful years to get Jabba in there). I think it would have been limited to Landspeeder stuff and some redone X-Wing shots done on the level of JEDI's motion control work. And it probably would have been pretty bitchin'.
If Lucas had done a special edition in 1978 he would have put the Skyhopper race in (the actors would still be young enough to film it) and put all the Biggs stuff in and all his friends would be telling him he was insane but he would have made a fortune.
