It may be a good idea to synch each reel separately
For example
Reel 1 ends with
{C3PO}
“Why I should stick my
neck out for
you is quite beyond my
capacity”
{R2D2}
“Whistle”
Fade to black
Reel 2 would start with
{C3PO}
“Thank the maker “
Fore the heads/tails in the film
You over lap GOUT
I am thinking of looking for missing frames
As a posed to removing extra frames.
There is the stuff about the spliced in craw
such that may have extra frames to cut.
