An almost gastronomic call of, "Mmm you smell nice" used to work for me but then I haven't attempted that line on a lady of the female gender since the 90's when I looked a bit better (when the light hit me from the right angle) from most accounts.

As most ladies actively make an effort to choose and purchase their pong, it's a dual complement as you are also reflecting on their judgement as well as the guff itself.

If they start talking brands smile look like you are paying attention but also look mystified (if you give the impression you know what they are talking about they will assume you are a gaylord).

Is there any other kind?

WAIT! I'VE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE! I DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION!

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Someone in my office is listening to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."  On purpose!!!  It's the second time through her little playlist.  I'm being Rick-rolled over and over, and it's just going to continue!  AUGGGHHH!!!

Did any one run into Doc yet? It says here that he arrived just the other day.

Hoax. Lies. Every date is on October 30 years apart. Why do people try to start this crap?

I hate summer. It gets too damn hot for too damn long, and the one air conditioner my shitty house has doesn't even produce enough of a chill to adequate cool even a single room.

Do you live in my house? Because that's our freaking problem.

We went out and bought a ceiling fan a couple days ago. I'm on a ladder for an hour getting it up there and built, and it doesn't work! I can't even spin the blades freely, and nothing at all happens when I have the controller hooked into the system. We return it and get another one the next day, I spend another hour building it and IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER! The blades spin and it works when I connect the motor directly to power, but it doesn't work when I hook it up to the speed controller/remote receiver. I'm stumped. Could it be that the wiring in my 130 year old house isn't adequate? Could it be the lack of a ground wire? Is it a bad motivator?

I call my step-dad about it, bring my father-in-law over, no one has a clue. Everything is hooked up right, it just doesn't work when you try to use the remote.

I call the number on the instructions. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I get a tech, whose first question after hearing the problem was "Did you remove the plastic from the battery?"

To be fair, the plastic was VERY clear!

The first one WAS broken, the blades wouldn't spin freely. No excuse, but still.

Not a problem here.

Here it's unseasonably dull and it just keeps raining, not as bad as poor Englandshire though or Mother Russia.

It's raining so hard here in Englandshire, that it made a huge hole in our Gazebo. It's quite surprising, considering all the other crap the thing has put up with. It really is bucketing down.

We've had some typical on and off rains this monsoon, usually in the afternoon.  That is, except on the Fourth of July where it rained the entire day.  Literally five minutes before the scheduled fireworks, the rain stopped and the Independence Day festivities were able to proceed.

New VLC has an "add film grain" filter. A bizarre choice of features, but it really helps with low-quality files and movies (such as Disney films) that got the DNR dial abused during remastering. The artificial sharpening doesn't even look too bad! Of course, depending on what you're watching, you might want to turn up or down the level of intensity. I thought it helped with Fantasia, that's for sure.

I have a feeling I'll have to do some apologizing soon.  I just wanted to distribute a picture throughout the site in hopes of contributing to the OT.com meme database.  It was all in good fun.  Now I feel guilt.  But I can hear what you're thinking.

Yes, that would be a good idea.

The thing about ot.com memes (and memes in general) is they need to be organic; you can't force them. This is the very definition of the force (ha-ha).

Hang your head in shame, and stob posting that carp picture.
