Maybe deep down Lucas wants us to preserve the originals... there's still good in him, I can feel it!

Either way, he has to realise that our fear for losing the originals led to anger. Anger led to hate. Hate leads to transferring.

that appear in other transfers.. a blue

ship at the beginning, and a crack above

the landspeeder when luke is with the dead

the cat is out of the bag..

lucas has successfully sold a ton of blurays,

so star wars in HD is safe, and in the hands of people

that want it in HD if they didn't have it already..

there's not a whole lot left to do,

and not that many people are really going to wait

around forever to see if the originals come out...

so the timing is a lot more relaxed now before,

then when people only had access to the HD broadcast versions..

i really don't think this will make much of a dent honestly.

only the few people that are interested in it will seek it out..

much like the 8mm, and 16mm versions have their audience,

so will this..

You forget that Georgie Porgie retired recently. He's got nothing better to do than troll forums and kill child hood dreams.

I 100% support your project, and wait patiently(not so much) for the day when I can watch GOUT HD.

I just hope you guys don't take Lucas too lightly, and stay safe.

and what if most of your statements are incorrect.  Does that change the last line?

How so?

I highly doubt Lucas is at all concerned with this, I'm sure he doesn't just sit around and cruise forums all day looking for people doing restorations.

if he (lucas) does appear on forums,

i'm sure he could give us a few pointers! ha ha

It doesn't matter because nobody will watch these versions.  Soon people will only like the finished versions and this will be an interesting artifact.  Why would anyone want to watch an unfinished movie?  The newer generation likes the newer versions.  They're just movies.

The original trilogy is not unfinished. The special editions are just alterations to the original theatrical version. And, belive me, a lot of people would like to see the original versions, even the younger generation that only saw the special editions.

I grew up watching the special editions, but when I saw the theatrical version, I tought they were far way better, specialy because I knew how it was difficult to make optical effects in the 80's.

I still don't understand why people would want the older quality versions when the better versions are on Blu-Ray now.  The tapes are still out there if you want to see the earlier versions.  If an artist puts his name on something he wants it to represent his original vision because he has to answer to criticism of that art. Then everybody calls you a terrible person for it.

"Better" is a very subjective term. Not everyone thinks that the modern effects and other changes are better.

You really should take the Disney initiative and promote your relabeling scheme:

"Dr. Gonzo's George Lucas's Star Wars"

"Catnap's George Lucas's Star Wars"

"TR47's George Lucas's Star Wars"

"George Lucas's George Lucas's Original Unaltered Trilogy"

"dark_jedi's George Lucas's George Lucas's Original Unaltered Trilogy Star Wars"

"Harmy's George Lucas's DeSpecialized Star Wars"

"George Lucas's Star Wars Legacy Version"

"George Lucas's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords"

"George Lucas's Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope 3D Special Edition Super Spectacular"

Then everybody calls you a terrible person for it.

The reviews will be less harsh with the new artists rights title plan, as the product name will reach the article's word quota.

Any truth to the rumor that you are going to official change your name to George Star Walton Wars Lucas?  Which means:

"Dr. Gonzo's George Star Walton Wars Lucas's Star Wars"

excited, you know you are.

big fan, big fan.

here are some captures of the fox intro,

the lucasfilm logo, the ALTA, and the

star wars logo WITHOUT episode 4, and

a few parts of the crawl... there is the

partial red reduction done on it, and also

color corrected versions..

these are all from the english print,

we won't be releasing this (due to the

quality of them).. but we will

be using frames that are clearer and with

less grain to integrate with the current

version..

maybe way into the future when we're done

with the other versions we'll get back to

doing something else with this.

but it will be for archive only purposes for awhile.

reduced red version:
