“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”
It certainly does what it says on the tin, that's for sure.
The nun dressed up with all the weapons looked great.
This is real crazy shit that surprisingly is available to watch in full on youtube (at the moment) !
I wish someone would make a film adaptation of Topless Skateboard Nun or Nymphomaniac Pogo-Stick Nurse.
North by Northwest
What is there to say? Perfect movie on every level. Witty, daring, inventive, simple, fun, beautiful, endearing, classic. This throws out the rule book and decides to have a little bit of fun with us all.
The Criterion CLV edition features the original mono soundtrack in PCM and is in every way superior to the 5.1 remix. You can't go back once you've heard this original mix. Image is opened a bit to a 1.75:1 framing and the color looks very natural if a bit off form the recent restoration.

Possibly contains Disney's first POV boob-diving sequence. Movies really need more of these.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
I hear 005 watched John Carter...

Dear Xhonzi,
Allow me to take this opportunity to apologize to you and everyone else who enjoyed this movie in theaters and told me to see it. I honestly feel bad for not supporting this movie when it really mattered, for now we'll never get a sequel.
I was unsure watching it at first, it was confusing at first, but by the time it got going I was along for the ride. It was well made, decently acted, with gorgeous visual effects.
I am genuinely sorry for not listening to you. You would have thought I learned after Inception.
I will never not listen to you again, xhonzi.
Sincerely,
Five

Maybe cleavage-diving is the more appropriate term.
The Debt - 9/10
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.
The Circus (1928) - 6/10
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)
Just got back from this. Wow. That was one awesome movie. Going in I thought this was probably going to be low budget and corny. I hadn't watched a trailer for it beforehand, just saw the poster. This movie was off the rails. It was a huge film that balanced everything almost perfectly. It captured the time period perfectly, the actor they got to play Abe was great. I really can't think of anything to complain about. It had its corny elements of course but they're easily forgiven. Fun flick.
I can't wait for Jimmy Carter Of Mars.

Yes. It does. It really, really does. As Dominic says, "cleavage-diving" might be a more appropriate term.

My girlfriend, who was a huge fan of the book, hated that movie. She said that, not only did it not follow the book in any way, shape, or form, but that it was completely incomprehensible to anyone who hadn't read it. Indeed, she said several members of the group she saw it with kept turning and asking what the hell was going on.

That doesn't make any sense. It didn't follow the book, but only people that read the book could understand it?Gaffer Tape said:

I haven't read the book and I had no problem following it. Of course if you're talking during the movie you're going to miss things...

Everybody cries during that. I did and I don't tear up very much. Genuinely emotional. If there was ever a movie to point to to say that animation is art.
Saboteur (1942)
I love this movie. I love every single jam-packed inventive second of this gleefully B-grade wrong man thriller. Everything being on a lower scale helps the story seem more realistic, especially the use of non major stars in the lead roles. Liberal borrowing from the structure of his own 39 Steps allows Hitchcock to run rampant with a simply enjoyable great movie. No, it's not as good as Foreign Correspondent or The 39 Steps. But it is a chance for Hitchcock to get away from the controlling Selznick and his lavish overdone extravaganzas. What this film really is is the link between the British Hitchcock period and Foreign Correspondent with the Americana of Shadow of a Doubt.
4 balls out of 4. Classic but largely forgotten today.
