The TR47 set uses the orginal PCM 2.0 audio yes. But with a Prologic II reciever it will decode to the rear channels very nicely. The closest to 5.1 you will get for the OT. It's not 5.1 but sense the orginal trilogy was never put out with 5.1 (On laserdisc i mean I know it was in theatres with 5.1) that's the best you can get as far as sound.

The TR47 set really does spank the anamorphic on sound.

As for picture it really only matters if you have a widescreen TV with a good zoom feature. If you don't have good zoom go with the Anamorphic. If you have a decent zoom the TR47 will look better.

If you don't have a widescreen TV at all it won't really matter all that much which set you get.
