Hey guys,

Thanks for bearing with me.

Looks like this beast will finally be done this afternoon, after a very long process.

Wow! I've always been interested in the Godfather Saga version. Now I may finally get to see it.

Any chance someone will do a compressed 720p version? I don't need the massive 1080i version myself...

That's already out there if you wanted it.

digitalfreaknyc is it all done?

If it's not one thing, it's another. The sync is ok but the latest authoring didn't include the Godfather 3 alternate opening. I have to try and re-do AGAIN today.

I can't WAIT until this is over. :) lol
And i hope you all enjoy it. lol

I spent the day yesterday with my best friend and saw Prometheus.

This torrent includes the entire restored Godfather Saga as it was shown on AMC. It includes deleted scenes and the chronological version of the first two films.

This was the first and only time that the Saga was broadcast in HD as the Complete Novel For Television.

As a bonus, it includes the following extras:
- TV spots from the original broadcast (NBC)
- Alternate TV opening for the Godfather Part 3 (AMC HD 1080i)
- E!'s Godfather Anniversary Gala (45 minutes 1997)
- Entertainment Tonight's 1997 news report
- 25 Anniversary Godfather Collection trailer

This is a 2 disc set that can be burned to Blu-ray, complete with menus and artwork, courtesy of gencoimporters

Nice sounding release, digitalfreaknyc! Out of curiosity, where will the torrent be uploaded? I'm very interested. Myspleen may not be the best place considering the recent take down of movie torrents, such as the custom BD of Big Blue (another ot.com project)...

I used demonoid and PB.

Nice one DFNYC, thank you!

Is this available on newsgroups perchance?

I would love to get hold of some ADigitalMan Extended Editions if anyone can help out. Monty Python's Life Of Brian, Love Actually Bloated and Flatulent. Ta!

Unfortunately, no. I don't have access to them.

two questions

1. i've located the torrent on PB but i couldn't seem to find it on demonoid. the torrent from PB isn't very fast, would the demonoid one be better if i could find it?

2. i don't have a blu-ray player. in fact i'm not positive if my laptop can play blu-rays. will these files play in vlc?

VLC will do just fine as long as your laptop is not "ancient."

You need good hardware to play BD's.

Thanks digitalfreaknyc, I shall seed this for a while!

There was a problem with the demonoid one so i had to delete it, unfortunately.

I'm the only seeder so it can only go so fast. It's averaging between 200 and 250kb/s. That's as fast as I can go.

No idea how long this is going to take to seed completely.

true, i'll be seeding for as long as i can after it finishes on top of what it's seeding while downloading.

92.9% at 8kbps-10kbps down while 250~kbps up. 4 days left.

This is why I sometimes loathe torrenting and downloading from somewhere such as RapidShare or MediaFire through a Pastebin in PM would be far faster. Yes I already wrote on the two BD25s I'm going to use to burn this to.

Long time lurker here. I was probably one of the first people in line to grab this and finish but had to disconnect for a few hours after helping get a couple more people to 100%. I'm back seeding for a while, so you should hopefully be finished off a little quicker. It's a tricky maneuver. I'm already up to 170 gigs up for just this one torrent, and I don't want to incur the potential wrath of my ISP...lol. I'm hoping most people can at least stick around to help a few people directly under them, and so on and so on, to keep the chain moving. That is, due to the size, I know it's going to be hard for some people in "tricky" ISP situations to just endlessly seed.

BTW, digitalfreak, this is a hellluva fine job you did here from what I've glanced at so far. What did you end up doing for the part that got nuked on your DVR? I'm drawing a blank as to which part it was again exactly? Thanks again for your amazing work! I was literally sick after missing this one on AMC. I  was only able to nab the previous SD, Bravo-aired version from about 4 years ago.  :)

take care,

Seeding now. Thanks DFNYC! Flawless burns to two BD25s.

I finished downloading this now. Thanks a billion, DFNYC! I burned both discs to BD and printed cover art. So far, I've watched Episode 1. Excellent quality I must say, far better than my recording on my DVR; of course, the lack of commercials is great.

I noticed some occasional, non-bothersome digital artifacts; I assume this is a side effect of the capture. It manifests as slight distortions (i.e. an odd row of pixels lower section of the image). It certainly doesn't seem like a bad burn to me. In any case, it doesn't bother me one bit. Just thought I should point it out.

Also, I forgot. Where did the replacement for the missing section of your recording come from?

It might have been from my recording from AMC. It does blip out (has since been fixed) but it shouldn't be too often.

Enjoy the extras?

Did anyone have any issues with TPB still?
